The country’s most anticipated New Year’s Eve 2025 program promises to delight. In addition to the 12 minutes of fireworks, there will be a laser show during the countdown. Confirmed attractions include big names in Brazilian music such as Caetano Veloso, Maria Bethânia, Ivete Sangalo and Anitta.
Santos, Sao Paulo
Santos, on the southern coast of Sao Paulo, will have the second largest fireworks display in the country, lasting 14 minutes. The fireworks display will use low pitch fireworks with the elderly, animals and people with disabilities and autism in mind. Guilherme Arantes, who will liven up the party on the sand from 10pm, will perform a free show on Gonzaga beach.
Balneário Camboriú, Santa Catarina
Known as “Brazilian Dubai,” Balneário Camboriú will feature 15 minutes of fireworks to light up the skies over Praia Central. One of the highlights will be the countdown shown on the FG Big Wheel, the Pontal Norte Ferris wheel, which promises an LED light show.
Salvador, Bahia
In Salvador, New Year’s Eve is synonymous with music and celebration. The traditional Virada Salvador 2025 Festival begins on December 27th and continues until the 31st, bringing together artists such as Ivete Sangalo, Luan Santana, Claudia Leitte and Alok. On the 31st the fireworks display will be distributed in 22 points of the city, allowing residents and tourists to celebrate in different neighborhoods.
Recife, Pernambuco
The capital of Pernambuco celebrates the arrival of 2025 with four days of celebration. At Polo Pina, artists such as Alok, Alceu Valença and Jorge & Mateus command the sound in an event that mixes tradition and modernity. Another new event is the New Year’s Eve Recife Marina 2025, which will bring the international band Gipsy Kings and Bateria da Mangueira to the Porto Novo Recife Complex.
Florianopolis, Santa Catarina
Florianópolis also makes the list with a celebration that mixes tradition and innovation. Beira-Mar Norte and Beira-Mar Continental will have different programmes, with attractions such as Munhoz & Mariano and Kamisa 10. The fireworks show returns this year, with a 12-minute, low-sound firework display, as well as a cascade of fireworks artifice on the Hercílio Luz bridge.
