Banana roll to satisfy your sweet tooth

The shortcrust pastry will have a completely unusual destination: the banana roll recipe! The crunchiness of the dough combined with the softness of the fruit is simply wonderful, to complete it there is also the classic duo of sugar and cinnamon sprinkled on top.

Ingredients:

  • 500 g of rolled out shortcrust pastry
  • 4 ripe dwarf bananas, cut into cubes
  • 1/2 cup (tea) creamy dulce de leche
  • Frying oil
  • 4 tablespoons sugar for sprinkling
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon for sprinkling

Preparation method:

  1. Cut the dough every 8 cm using the height of the roll.
  2. Mix the banana with the dulce de leche and spread it over the dough, filling the sides to the thickness of a middle finger.
  3. Roll up like a jelly roll and brush the opposite side with water to make it stick easier.
  4. Fold the sides inwards and press with a fork to seal.
  5. Fry, little by little, in boiling oil until golden brown.
  6. Drain them on absorbent paper, sprinkle with sugar mixed with cinnamon and serve your banana roll-up.
