In an interview with TV CARAS, physical educator Carol Borba gives valuable fitness advice for the summer and also for this end of the year; check it out!
With the arrival of summer and the end-of-year holidays, many people decide to race against time and make peace with the scale to get back into shape. But is it possible, in such a short time, to lose those unwanted kilos and have a slimmer body? In an interview with CARAS TV, Carlo Borba (36), a physical educator who has millions of followers on her social media, gives valuable advice for maintaining fitness habits during the season most awaited by Brazilians and, who knows, looking “less bloated” for New Year’s Eve.
“You know what’s very curious? People spend the year avoiding each other, they don’t look at each other. They know that they have something that needs to change, but they will have to put energy into it, pay attention to what you are doing.” we want to improve, in every way, in all areas of life. We need to pay attention to what we want to develop. The body is an insecurity for most people. I won’t do (anything) now. And then you pass one. year avoiding taking photos and not looking in the mirror, which is very common”, says Carol.
“But at the end of the year, the summer, it gets hot and you start having to wear a tank top, show your arms, show your legs, sometimes with shorts. Take a photo here, a photo there because there are end-parties at the end of the year, a meeting for the company you work for, which will have a swimming pool (…) And how can you want the end of year miracle”continues.
When asked if it is possible, the physical educator jokes: “Shall we define a miracle first? (laughs).” And he continues: “People look for a miracle at the end of the year. A one-month miracle, for example, cannot be losing ten kilos, which is not healthy. It will not bring health in any sense, neither on a mental nor psychological level, but we think to improvements, in the things that we can create now, so that we can maintain it at the beginning of the year and that the year will be different?”.
According to her, it is essential to drink water. “We know this is very important. Everything that happens in our body happens in water. On a cellular level, to lose weight, you need water. To gain muscle mass, you need water. Because your kidneys and your brain function, for digestion to work well, you need water. Wake up early, drink a glass of water to remember to drink water which will also make your skin, your hair, everything feel better.”strengthens Carol.
Again according to the physical educator it is not necessary to resort, for example, to diuretics. “There are people who say: ‘at the end of the year I will take a diuretic to reduce swelling’. Drink a lot of water, you will see that your body will not need to hold it. Only your body holds it because you don’t give it water. You are afraid of not having any and you are safe. So, drink lots of water. This is a very simple habit to create every day.speaks.
Carol points out that another important habit is working out. “Not that training will make you lose those ten pounds you think you need in a few days, but you’ll be on your way. And training will make you more available, you’ll build the physique and health you want from here on out. And a another detail is eating. I don’t stop eating at Christmas and New Year, but I don’t have to eat stuffed biscuits.underlines.
“People need to see that it’s not an exaggeration, that’s it. If you feel like it, eat as much as you want. Don’t overdo it. And think about compensating. The compensation is there. Since it’s a period in which you don’t know what’s there it’s more, training, exercising, going for a walk, training at home We can find a way for everything, so let’s improve where we can.”concludes the educator.
