Time: 1 hour
Performance: 5 servings
Difficulty: easy
Ingredients for homemade meatballs
- 2 slices of white bread without crust
- 800 g of duckling ground 2 times
- 1 grated onion
- 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley
- 1 egg
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
- 1/2 cup diced provolone for the filling
Sauce
- 2 tablespoons of oil or olive oil
- 1 diced onion
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- 5 tablespoons of tomato paste
- 2 seedless cherry tomatoes, diced
- 1 seedless chilli, diced
- 1 cup (tea) of water
- 5 tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese for sprinkling
Method of preparation
Moisten the bread with water to soften it and squeeze it to remove all the liquid. Discard in a large bowl. Add the meat, onion, parsley, egg, salt and pepper and knead with your hands until the mixture is smooth. With slightly damp hands, open a portion in the palm of your hand and place a cube of cheese in the center. Shape the ball. For the sauce, heat the oil in a large, large skillet over medium heat and sauté the onion and garlic for 3 minutes or until golden brown. Add the extract and fry for 2 minutes. Pour in the tomato, pepper and water. As soon as it boils, add the meatballs and reduce the heat. Cook with the half-covered pan for 20 minutes or until the sauce has thickened and the meat is cooked through. Pour into a serving dish, sprinkle with cheese and serve.
