Stressful relationships can affect heart health, study finds

How was the research carried out?
The discovery was made by analyzing 1,500 adults hospitalized after a heart attack. A year after the diagnosis, new data was collected and compared with the happiness felt with the spouse.
The study included questionnaires about the emotional and sexual state of each relationship, as well as a point scale created by researchers to analyze participants’ physical health. Information on hospital records and any returns to hospital after the visit were also assessed heart attack.
