PREPARATION:
- Start preparing the filling you prefer -if necessary let it cool.
- Separate the ingredients and utensils for the recipe.
- Pour a little water into a bowl to seal the edges.
- Place a drizzle of olive oil in another bowl to brush the pastries.
PREPARATION:
Baked shortcrust pastry, without frying – filling and shaping:
- Place the dough on the work surface and cut out rectangles or circles of the desired size.
- Place the filling in the center of one side of the dough.
- Using a brush, apply a little water to the edges of the dough.
- Fold the dough in half and press the edges together to adhere.
- Using a fork, press the edges of the pastry so that it closes well.
Baked pastries, without frying – COOKING:
- Preheat the oven to 200°C.
- Lightly brush the entire surface of the shortcrust pastry with oil so that it becomes golden during cooking, being careful not to soak it, just a little.
- Arrange the pastries on one or more greased baking trays, one next to the other, without stacking them.
- Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the pastries are golden and crispy.
- Halfway through cooking, turn the pastries to ensure they are evenly browned.
- Remove them from the oven and place them on a plate.
FINALIZATION AND ASSEMBLY:
- Serve baked shortcrust pastry, without frying, hot as a snack or to accompany a meal.
