Son of VIIH Tube will be Freek; Understand the procedure

Ravi will perform surgery to correct prey speech, a condition that affects 4% to 11% of newborns

Influencers VIIH Tube and Eliezer announced that their youngest son, Ravi, just two months old, will undergo a frenzy, a surgical procedure that corrects ankyloglosia –Popularly known as a tongue. The condition occurs when the lingual frenulum is shorter or thicker than normal, making it difficult to move the tongue.

According to the pediatric society of São Paulo, between 4% and 11% of newborns have this change. In Brazil, it is estimated that approximately 7% of children have ankyloglossia to some extent,

Phreectomy is recommended in cases where ankyloglossia impairs breastfeeding or causes other difficulties. The procedure can be performed conventionally, with blade or scissors or through laser, a more modern technique that reduces the risk of complications and facilitates postoperative care.

Although considered simple, the surgery requires special care, such as the need for sedation. Possible risks include bleeding, infections, and lesions in the sublingual glands. Therefore, it is essential that the procedure is conducted by an experienced professional, with expert approval and multidisciplinary training, involving speech therapists and, in some cases, osteopaths.
