The digital influencer Mariana Michelini has lived a drama for over four years due to the harmonization of the face He went with a dentist in an aesthetic clinic in the city of Matão, San Paolo.

In an interview with FantasticFrom TV Globo, broadcast on Sunday 9, Mariana revealed that she had been deceived, since she imagined that she would be subjected to harmonization in the oral part. However, at the suggestion of the professional, he was induced to fill the lips with applications on the chin and the cheek.

Mariana imagined that harmonization would be performed with hyaluronic acid, widely used in this type of procedure, trying to give more volume to certain areas of the face and also the expression lines to smooth. However, six months later, the influencer woke up with a lot of pain, as well as inflating in the mouth and chin.

In seeking medical assistance, it was discovered that, in fact, the injecting substance was polymethylmetacrilated, known as PMMA – a plastic substance that the human body does not absorb. “I went to despair, I thought I was dying,” he remembered.

According to the president of the Federal Council of Medicine (CFM), José Hira Gallo, the product, since it is not absorbable, due to “irreversible sequences”, as well as transporting the injury to the kidney.

It is noteworthy that Anvisa authorizes the use of PMMA to doctors and dentists on two occasions: to fill the face and body and in the correction of the deformity of the face in the post-treatment of people infected by the HIV virus.

Mariana spent a year with pain, swelling and trying to reverse the painting, but she ended up losing the upper lip and flour. “My world collapsed. It was a nightmare that I entered,” he said.

Since then, it has been accompanied by Dr. Guilherme Raulino Brasil, in Porto Alegre. It is a surgeon specialized in facial reconstruction.
