The nutritionist explains that the ideal is to combine fruit with protein sources
The fruits are wonderful foods for daily consumption, considered “wealth on the table” and excellent for consumption for breakfast. Some help to promote more satiety during the day.
“They are nutrients, rich in vitamins, minerals and fibers, being excellent options to start the day with more energy,” explains nutritionist Marina Mansur.
Most of the fruits are mainly a “quality” source of carbohydrates, but alone they do not give sufficient satiety, therefore to keep hunger under control longer, the professional says that the ideal is to combine them with good sources of fats and proteins.
“Coconut and Avocado are two fruits that are excellent options and that offer more satiety, as they are sources of good fats. However, they are also more caloric, in particular coconut, so you have to consume less, which is not interesting for some people who like the most volume,” he says.
For a balanced breakfast, it is worth combining fruit with sources of good proteins and fats such as natural yogurt, eggs, cheeses, peanuts or seeds such as chia and flax seeds. These combinations help to maintain stable energy and avoid early hunger.
