Bateau Mouche
From the testimonies and re -enactments, the original production launches a new look to the tragic wreck of the Bateau Mouche ship which stopped Brazil on the eve of New Year’s Eve 1988.
Among the testimonies of the series are those of the then journalist Fatima Bernardes, the actress Malu Mader and the son of the actress killed in the wreck, Yara Amaral. There are more than 30 exclusive interviews of survivors, relatives of the victims, lawyers, experts and protagonists of the rescue.
“Go for a night and have fun, and go out from there,” says Fatima Bernardes on the absurdities that emerged during the investigation.
The documentary also includes recreation at sea and in a tank of depth 40 meters long, 30 and up to 25.
Of the 142 tables in Bateau Muche IV to see the fireworks display on the beach of Copacabana, 55 died.

More wreck
At the end of last year, another production of the genre reached streaming.
After 107 years, the most demanding wreck in history took place: resistance, found at more than three thousand meters deep.
Found in March 2022, in the sea of Weddell in the Antarctic Ocean, the wooden ship, made exclusively for polar crossings, sunk in November 1915 during the frustrated of a journey by Irish Ernest Shackleton between 1914 and 1916.
The expedition of the imperial transactions meant, for the first time in the history of humanity, to cross the continent from one end to the other, between the sea of Weddell and the southern pole.

The complex rescue operation, one of the most ambitious data transmission projects in the region, is represented in the documentary “endurance”, by the directors Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi, Jimmy Chin (both directors of the film “Free Solo” and “Nyad”) and Natalie Hewit.
The production of national geographical documentaries is available on streaming platforms such as National Geographic Channels and Disney+.
