What you look at, read and even the people you live with can directly influence your motivation and well -being. The supplementary therapist Daniely Britto explains that dopamine, a neurotransmitter responsible for pleasure and motivation, can be stimulated in a healthy way or sabotaged by harmful habits. “When we nourish our mind with positive content, our brain releases more dopamine, which generates more mental clarity, arrangement and well -being,” says Daniely. However, constant exposure to negative information and harmful habits can overload the mind, reduce energy levels and generate a sense of lack of direction.

To keep the dopamine in balance

To maintain balance, the expert recommends filtering what we consume daily. “Carefully choose the content that absorbs, the people who follow the social networks and the environments in which they spend more time. The energy we cultivate internally reflects directly on our external reality,” he underlines.

  • The day begins with positive statements: words have power and can influence your emotional state.
  • Avoid excessive consumption of negative news: to filter information and limit exposure to the content that generates stress.
  • I include pleasant routine activities: listen to music, read a book or practice a hobby that brings satisfaction.
  • Move: exercise stimulates the release of dopamine and improves mood.
  • Disconnect from the screens: books moments for digital breaks and gives priority to real connections.

“Small changes in habits make the difference. The more consciousness we have on what we are consuming, the more we can direct our energy to a lighter and more balanced life,” says the expert.

In addition, habits such as practicing gratitude and looking for activities that increase mental vibrations can be allied in strengthening emotional health. “Being more aware of these impacts is an essential step to improve the quality of life and build a lighter and more motivating routine”, concludes Daniely Britto.
