Ingredients for Pork Chop with Corn Cream

  • 1.2 kg of pork ribs, with the skin on
  • 1 lemon juice
  • 4 minced garlic cloves
  • 1/3 cup (tea) of cachaça
  • Salt and chopped parsley to taste

Corn cream

  • 2 cans of green corn with water
  • 1 cup (tea) of milk
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 chopped onion
  • Salt, pepper and chopped parsley to taste

Method of preparation

For the cream of corn, whisk half the corn, milk, and cornstarch in a blender for 2 minutes. Heat the butter in a skillet over medium heat and saute the onion until golden brown. Add the beaten corn, corn kernels, salt, pepper, parsley and cook until thick, stirring. Turn off and book.

Season the ribs with the juice, garlic, cachaça, salt and leave to soak for 2 hours. Transfer to a pan, cover with aluminum foil and take to a preheated medium oven for 1 hour.

Remove the paper and return to the oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Transfer to a serving dish and serve sprinkled with parsley and accompanied by cream of corn.
