This vacancy blew up social media, exasperated men and delighted women. You will be surprised!

This vacancy went viral as soon as a video appeared on the web, which showed how the candidate is interviewed for this position. Social media users actively shared this story and discussed it vigorously. And here’s the interesting thing: the conditions and demands of this vacancy have infuriated the men. And the women are absolutely thrilled!

An American postcard company, American Greetings, posted a job advertisement in newspapers and on the Internet. The company needed a general manager. But the requirements seemed very strange – for this position, and in general for any job. But the most important thing came to light when the first candidates showed up for an interview.

First, the job required physical exertion and the candidate had to be prepared to spend most of the day on their feet. At the same time, the working week was not the usual 40 hours, but 135! Is it 27 hours a day? Of course, this is impossible. It’s just that the employee had to work without days off or vacation, at least 19 hours a day.

The list of required knowledge and skills looked like this:

  • excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills;
  • medical education;
  • economic education;
  • culinary skill.

The work environment was described as chaotic, and it was pointed out that it was often necessary to work non-stop and that the manager had to wait until all his colleagues had eaten before going out to lunch.

It was noted separately, although it is clear and therefore, that if the candidates have a personal life, they will have to forget it. Weekends, as we have already said, are not planned and the main holidays – Christmas and Thanksgiving – the working day is not reduced. On the contrary, the load only increases!

So you have to work 24 hours a day, seven days a week, all year round.

And all this for free!

The video went viral very quickly, gaining 27 million views. The candidates were very surprised when they learned that the advertisement was false and that they were in fact portrayed the typical fate of all mothers in the world.

It was a social campaign for Mother’s Day under the hashtag #the hardest job in the world

Do you agree that motherhood is incredibly hard work?

Of course

Not
