With over 20 years of career, the rapper reflects on changes in this period and designs future work
With over two career decades, Projota has never escaped the change.
Whether in your sound, your connection with fans or challenges to balance the life of artists and father, it is always open to the transformations provided by life. In an exclusive interview, the rapper shares the details on his trajectory, future projects and new talents that are emerging.
Last album and audiovisual project
In 2024, Projota put his album in the world Someone had to talk about loveA project that, in fact, deeply immerses on this theme. “It was special to be able to make songs that have connected to each other, telling a story. An experience that has enriched my technique as a composer,” says the singer.
And not just that. In addition to the songs, the artist also published an exclusive audiovisual series on YouTube, which has expanded this story to the Visual universe. “I love acting and I have always dedicated myself a lot in the visual part of my work in music, so it was a unique opportunity to develop something so large from scratch,” says Projota, which indicates the main challenges of the cost for production and the high demand for work time.
Changes that accompany evolution
With years of experience in artistic life, the rapper claims to have followed all the changes of this scenario. “I saw the audience, the scene, the market, even the way to make music listened to more than once,” describes. And despite all the transmutations, Projota says that the bonus derives from seeing how his fans remain with him. “I have the great joy of keeping my fan base with me for over 10 years, grow up with me, win their children, see life pass and follow together.”
First family
Projota is the father of two children: Marieva, four years and eight, one year and three months, fruits of the singer’s relationship with his ex -wife, Tamy Control. The rapper says that the oldest does not yet understand, in fact, that the father is famous, but already observes some movements around him. “When the crowd arrives and asks to take photos, he already knows because they listen to my music. He always lives with it, so he seems to be natural for his eyes,” he comments.
The singer also stresses that the love for children goes far beyond the cure and becomes a true new purpose of life. “Today I just want to build conditions to give them the best possible quality of life for them, balancing with my always constant presence with them. I think this is the goal of life,” he says.
The future reserves good surprises
He asked what he expects from the future of the hip-hop scene in Brazil, a project aims at promising talents that emerged and stopped as a phenomena of the new generation. “I can mention artists like the Duchess and Ajulosta, as well as those of the rhyme battles and that I expect great things in music, like Jotapê,” he says.
And your future? “I can only say that what comes forward, will arrive a lot in words,” he replies. We kept waiting for us!
