As head of people, I can say that a health team is happier, more productive and involved. However, agitated routine often makes us neglect essential habits, such as a balanced diet, adequate hydration and moments of rest.
With this in mind, I collected some practical tips that can be easily incorporated in everyday life. After all, small changes make the long -term difference.
Health suggestions
Hydration: About 60% of our body is composed of water and dehydration can cause fatigue, headache and even compromise concentration – factors that directly influence productivity. To keep the body hydrated throughout the day:
- Always have a bottle of water nearby (on the table, the bag or car);
- Use applications or alarms to remember to drink water regularly;
- Vary hydration with natural tea and coconut water, for example.
Healthy nutrition: There is no need to follow restrictive diets for a healthy diet. The secret is in balance and quality of food. Some simple practices help to maintain a healthier food routine:
- Priority to fresh foods such as fruit, vegetables, cereals and lean proteins;
- Reduce the consumption of ultra elaborate, such as fast foodsnacks and drinks;
- Bet on nourishing snacks such as nuts, natural yogurt with fruit or whole sandwiches;
- Eat slowly and chews well: digestion begins in the mouth and eats calmly avoid exaggeration.
Move: Physical inactivity is one of the main enemies of health. Being long sitting periods can cause back pain, circulatory problems and even increase the risk of chronic diseases. To avoid these impacts:
- Get up every hour to stretch and move the body;
- When possible, opt for the stairs instead of the elevator;
- If you work at home, enjoy the lunchtime to take a quick walk;
- Choose a physical activity you like: it can be dance, yoga, swimming or any exercise you like.
Quality sleep: Sleeping well is a necessity. A very sleepy night compromises mood, concentration and even the immune system. To improve sleep quality:
- Set a routine, sleep and always wake up at the same time;
- Avoid the use of screens before going to bed, since the blue light of the devices can interrupt the quality of sleep;
- Create a favorable environment to rest: a dark, quiet and pleasant room.
Mental health: Stress and emotional overload are frequent challenges and taking care of mental health is as important as to take care of the body. Some strategies can help maintain emotional balance:
- Practice conscious breathing: inspire and exhale deeply to reduce tension;
- Dedicate time to pleasant activities such as reading, music or hobbies;
- Do not hesitate to look for emotional support from friends, family or professionals.
