ingredients of coffee filled cake:
- 5 eggs
- 2 cups (tea) of sugar
- 1/3 cup (tea) of milk
- 1 cup (tea) of brewed coffee
- 1/2 cup of chocolate powder
- 2 and 1/2 cups (tea) of wheat flour
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder
- Margarine and wheat flour for greasing and flour
- Coffee beans to decorate
Filling:
- 300 g of melted milk chocolate
- 1 cup (tea) of brewed coffee
- 2 tablespoons of powdered milk
- 1 sachet of unflavoured, colorless gelatin powder
- 1 egg white
Method of preparation:
Beat the eggs in a mixer until they double in volume. Add the sugar, milk, coffee, chocolate, flour and yeast until the mixture is smooth. Pour into a greased and floured 22 cm diameter mold and take it to a medium oven (180 ° C), preheated, for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven, let cool and cut in half horizontally.
For the filling, whisk the chocolate, coffee, milk powder and gelatin prepared according to the instructions on the package in a blender for 1 minute. Add the egg whites and mix gently. Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until slightly firmed. To assemble, lay one part of the cake on a plate, make a layer with half of the filling and lay the other part of the coffee cake on top. Cover the entire cake with the remaining filling, decorate with the coffee beans and refrigerate for 2 hours before serving.
