Brazil recorded its first focus on the avian influence on May 15, in a Matrixeiro (Farm Farm Farm) of commercial birds in Montenegro, in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre (RS). The Ministry of Agriculture clarified that the disease is not transmitted by the consumption of poultry and eggs. The transmission takes place through direct contact with secretions, blood, feces and even with the fabric of infected bird or the inhalation of particles contaminated by their excretions.
