Not all Lattiero -Caseari products affect the microbiota in the same way: the study confirms the differences between milk consumption and cheese consumption

Variations of the research points in the presence of beneficial bacteria based on the type of dairy included in the daily diet

At first glance, we might think that consuming dairy products – is in the form of milk or from cheese -It would have the same impact on health, since both have the same raw material as the origin.

However, one study who analyzed the effects of cheese and milk on the intestinal microbiota showed that this hypothesis is not confirmed. In fact, the researchers concluded that bacterial proliferation occurs very differently depending on the type of dairy products consumed.

These bacteria, among other functions, help in digestion and can bring different benefits. However, scientific studies that try to clarify how to feed this microbiota in a healthy way are not always so conclusive as they spread out there.

Now, a new research published in the respected scientific journal Nutrients Attract attention to the possible differences in the impact that milk and cheese have on the microbiota.

The purpose of the study was precisely to study how, although Lattiero -Caseari products provide essential nutrients, they can influence the intestinal microbiota – and if there are differences in this effect when we compare the consumption of milk with derivative products such as cheese.

And yes, this is what the study underlines, although it should be interpreted with caution. This is a cross surplus with only 34 participants, whose intestinal tissue samples were collected after colonoscopy tests.
