Bruno De Luca revealed that he had suffered an emergency surgery in Cervical in January of this year in a shared report on his social networks on Friday 20. The actor, who paused his television work at the end of 2023 after a troubled year, said he lives a complex recovery phase, where he lost important body movements.

As he said, the emergency intervention took place on January 21 due to a disco hernia which eventually put pressure on the C5 root, which is responsible for very important movements in the body.

“My arm was no longer raised, I could no longer raise the shoulder, neither forward nor on the right,” he said. According to the orthopedist who managed it, recovery is slow in type cases.

He started making physical therapy the next day of surgery. “I am accompanied by wonderful physiotherapists who make me hope to improve,” he explained if he is “super optimistic”.

Even so, the situation is difficult. “I no longer have some very important and basic movements, which we appreciate only when you lose,” said the actor.

“I am improving every day, trying to be as resilient as possible and follow my life. Many people see me and ask me what happened. I realize my difficulties in the movement. This is, in the recovery phase,” added Bruno, who also thanked the “positive energies”.
