From football to catwalks. Rebeca Bomani23 years old, “Beat Bolão” in court and was surprised to emerge in fashion. “It was not my dream, until the opportunity presents itself,” reveals. He brings together a job for design such as Adidas, Arezzo and Farm, editorials of Vogue and Officiel, as well as parades at the Saint Paul fashion week.




Born in the community of Vila Cruzeiro, in Rio de Janeiro, Rebeca had football as a great passion. “I always believed it was much more than a simple sport. I started playing ball at 12 years old and, since the first time I entered the field, I identified,” he remembers.

“In the community things have always been more difficult, so football taught me a lot and the first was a free person. Football gave me more strength and courage to not give up.”

He even played in basic teams, in clubs like Vasco. In 2014, he was invited to join the championship aimed at children in vulnerable situations and, in 2015, traveled to England, where he entered the field as Manchester City “Mascottinho”. In 2016, he won an exchange in the Netherlands and, in the following two years, he was invited to the charity championship in Russia.

His life underwent a great change when, in 2022, he was seen by a scout in a shopping center in Rio de Janeiro and began his career as a model. “Fashion has changed my life. Fashion has taught me so many things! For me, it is liberating. I feel more alive, I find my brightness, my value, my place. I feel beautiful, I feel great and free”, celebrates. “When I am on the catwalk or photographing, I forget all the problems, I renew my energies, I feel in peace, confident, strong and safe.”

In Brazil, it has become one of the bets of Joy Management, an agency responsible for supermodels such as Lais Ribeiro and Aline Weber. “I remember my first campaign, it was to tell my story to Fifa.”

The “Favela Street / Street Child” social project also integrates, which offers opportunities to vulnerable young people. Through sports and cultural actions, they promote lessons – from football to languages ​​- in the Penha complex, north of Rio de Janeiro.

“10 years ago I am part of this project, in the community in which I grew up. It changed my life! I had the opportunity to travel to different countries and today I share my story with other young people from the favela. Like a black woman on the outskirts, occupying places that I have not imagined, I have overcome the obstacles and I never stopped believing. So I share my experience with other young people, so I also dream of a better future.”
