Lara, three -year -old daughter of the singer Junior Lima with the influencer Monica Benini, was diagnosed with a nephrotic syndrome, a condition that affects the kidneys. In an interview with TV Globo, this Sunday, 3, the musician told how he noticed the first signs of the disease. “At the beginning it was an extra swelling. I took it on her lap and found it very heavy,” said Junior, remembering the moment when he noticed that something was wrong with his daughter.

Nefrotic syndrome is caused by a disorder in the blood vessels of the kidneys, which explodes excess proteins of the body through urine. The condition can cause accumulation of fluids, swelling and low levels of important blood proteins.
According to Junior, a significant part of children with illness does not respond to corticosteroid treatment. Lara presented a good response and today is asymptomatic.
The singer said he decided to share the experience to warn other parents and help to fight the lack of information on the problem: “For the question of the disinformation that we have experienced at the beginning. The fear we take from not knowing what is and what seriousness had”.
Enthusiastic, he still reflected on the importance of early diagnosis: “I had heard of it before, perhaps he had diagnosed a little earlier”.
