The woman loses the vision after “giving stars” on the beach and warns

Deborah Cobb, 42 years old, lost his vision at 19 years after having acrobatics in the sand

Summary

Deborah Cobb, who lost his central vision at 19 years after having acrobatics on the beach due to bleeding in the macules, uses his experience to feel the risks of these movements and underline the importance of gratitude.

Deborah Cobb, 42, residing in Seattle, in the United States, was blinded by 19 for giving “stars” on the beach. The moment of fun quickly became a nightmare for months. Today he uses his story to warn the youngest of the risks of losing vision and Cobb has viralized on social networks with a video that says that his health of the eyes is the same as an 80 -year -old person.

The American is dedicated to supplementary health and uses social networks to guide people on regulation of the nervous system. Deborah has faced health problems since he was 19 years old, when he challenged how many small stars he could do for fun. It was on the beach with friends when everything happened.

“I started doing it and I reached 13 years, but the dizziness fell a lot. My eyes turned, so it took a while to realize that they were not concentrating well,” he told the newspaper The guardian.

Then his friends realized that he was not well. “When I looked at the face of a friend, everything I saw was a great orange spot. My eyes could not concentrate totally. There was no pain and my peripheral vision was normal, but everything I was trying to look straight was blocked by this orange stain,” he said.

Deborah's story on Instagram tells its story on how it was temporarily blinded after 13 stars stars. He says he had to abandon his studies and could not guide or look in the mirror for six months.

Upon arrival at home and telling his mother what had happened, he tried to minimize the symptoms he was having. The next morning, the vision had not yet normalized, it was then that the family decided to take her to the hospital.

Initially the doctors believed they had had a sunburn on the retina and which should only have avoided strong lights. However, an expert has given a more serious diagnosis: bleeding in both spots and recovery may take from three to six months.

Macula’s bleeding is a bleeding that occurs on the retina, or just below it and which affects the responsible area of the central vision. This lesion can cause partial loss of the ability to see abruptly.

“My central vision had completely disappeared … I couldn’t drive, I couldn’t read, I couldn’t see me in the mirror … which meant that I could not spend the trick … nor watch the TV,” said Deborah.

For experts, this type of injury to healthy young people is rarer, but it can still happen. Staying or repeated can increase the pressure of the eyes and cause bleeding.

After three months, Deborah’s vision returned, but at 42 years old he continues to live with limitations, such as flashes of light points and vision caused by a gap of the retina.

It reports that it does not intend to undergo surgery to correct these problems while running a greater risk of developing cataracts.

“We focus so much on what is wrong with life, which ends up ignoring everything that is going well … there are so many small gifts that could bring us joy every day, if we have just learned to evaluate them. This is what this experience has taught me: never stop being grateful,” Deborah said.
