The recommendation is that the passenger is in a lighted environment with a neutral background, as well as not wearing a hat or sunglasses. After approval of the photo, the passenger has access to the boarding pass which must be presented to access the departure lounge and then to the aircraft.

Latam and Azul, on the other hand, renounce the use of applications. Passengers must go to the kiosks of their respective airlines at the airports to register and acquire their biometric data. Other totems will perform facial recognition at the entrance to the departure lounges and, subsequently, before entering the aircraft.

By flying with one of the three airlines, travelers will continue to be able to opt for traditional check-in procedures.
