Laura Beatriz Nasceimento, 27 years old, became viral on social networks after revealing her fight against lung cancer, diagnosed by excessive use of electronic cigarettes. Spoke to the Earth This Thursday 14 and revealed the disease treatment routine.

“Thank God now I’m fine. I had excellent healing. At the beginning it was complicated, because I had to take half of my right lung. I had to learn to live again. Learning to breathe again, learning to do everything from scratch,” he said during participation in Land now.
According to her, the change has still helped her invest more time in physical activities such as the gym, swimming and other sports that help develop the “new lung”.
“Today I make my story an incentive for people to quit smoking. We see that it is something that is very common in people’s lives, in particular young people and we think that something will never happen to us,” he explained.
Laura also says that before having surgery, it did not imagine that the same happens and that it would have been real, despite the diagnosis. Because, mainly, of age.

“We know that smoke gives cancer, but we think if it happens, it will happen when we are 70 or 80 years old. It was a shock of the giant reality for me and my family,” he confessed.
The Brazilians also said that she started smoking when she was only 14 years old and that when she turned 18 she started smoking even more electronic cigarettes (also called vape). However, it was with the arrival of the pandemic that surrendered to pods.
“I started smoking them and I thought it would be less harmful to health. I started smoking every day, I became totally dependent. The level of nicotine in them is much higher than in normal cigarettes,” he explained.
