Brazil has recently recorded the circulation of three psychoactive substances previously unknown in the country. The warning was issued by the Fast Drug Alert System (SAR), connected to the national secretariat for drug policy and asset management (Senad), the Ministry of Justice and Public Security.

Two of the substances were found in a foreign industrialized product, the three house magic mushroom gummies. Although the first event in Brazil, both had already been detected in countries such as Chile, Canada and Belgium. Identification was carried out by Santa Catarina Scientific, with the support of the Federal Police.
The third substance, the protonitazen N-Pipolidino, a synthetic opioid, was detected by the analytical toxicology laboratory and by the center of information and assistance of Campinas (Catox-Campinas)), after examining a patient who reported that he had consumed alcohol together with a tablet. This substance had already been identified in countries such as Canada, France and Germany.
Sar is part of the National Drug Policy System (Sisnad) and is managed by Senad, linked to the Brazilian drug information observatory (Obid). The tool aims to capture, analyze and disseminate data on new psychoactive substances, as well as changes in known substances, offering rapid responses to threats to health and public safety.
