The Mounjaro drug (Typatide), indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes, overweight with comorbilities and obesity, will have new presentations available in Brazil from this month. The 7.5 mg doses begin to be sold in the second half of September, while the 10 mg affecting pharmacies in the second half of October.
With expansion, patients now have four dosage options: 2.5 mg, 5 mg, 7.5 mg and 10 mg. The 15 mg version, already approved in other countries, is not yet available in the Brazilian market.
According to the pharmacist Eli Lilly, the drug manufacturer, the maximum price of a box with four injection pens – enough for a month of treatment – will be:
R $ 3,175 (7.5 mg)
R $ 3,645 (10 mg)
In the “Lilly Best for You” benefits program, exclusive for prescription patients, the values are reduced:
E-commerce: R $ 2,599 (7.5 mg) and R $ 2,999 (10 mg)
Physical pharmacies: R $ 2,699 (7.5 mg) and R $ 3.099 (10 mg)

Currently, three injectable drugs are approved by Anvisa to control the obesity and type 2 diabetes:
Liraglutide (daily use) – marketed as a saxenda
Semaglutado (weekly use) – Found in versions like Wegovy and Ozepic
Tirzepatida (weekly use) – Sold as Mounjaro
