After four years of waiting and an intense treatment, with hemodialysis and numerous hospitalizations, Luiz had crossed the first phase of the surgical interventions on the 23rd. Trombofilia has been diagnosed in Luiz, a condition that causes the formation of blood clots. In the case of the architect, this has compromised the vein that receives blood from the digestive system and led to the failure of multiple organs.

After receiving the news that the transplants would have made, Luiz thanked “the family who authorized the donation”. In his Instagram account, he published a video in which he detailed part of the donor profile. “The news they gave us is that it is a 21 year old. And so far the organs are fantastic,” he said hours before going to the operating room on 23.

At the time, Luiz himself recorded the trip to the center on video. In the images published on his Instagram, he appears on a stretcher and receives support from the hospital staff of San Paolo.

In the first phase of the intervention, Luiz received stomach, liver, intestine and pancreas, in a procedure of about 12 hours, according to Jussara. According to her, Luiz would have undergone a new procedure the next day, when the team head of the kidney would have transplanted the organ. Already on Saturday 27, Luiz would return to the operating room to close the abdomen.
