The civil police of San Paolo investigates two brothers for the involvement in the manipulation of alcohol. After a complaint, the agents went to an address in the Jardim Campo Limpo district, in the south of San Paolo, and found packaging, labels and other inputs for the falsification and tampering of distilled drinks. According to the secretariat of Public Security (SSP-SP), the brothers are investigated, but have not been arrested.

Overall, 1,800 seals and whiskey of several citizens and imported brands were seized, as well as three empty bottles. The material was found in the house of one of the brothers, stored in bags and boxes in a bedroom in the back. Everything was directed by competence.

One of the 52 years studied had already been indicted in 2022 for the falsification of drinks. At the time, at the same address, the police seized adult drinks.

According to the police report, the suspicion is that the brothers have replaced the content of the added value bottles and an added value higher by liquids of cheaper or handmade drinks, subsequently adding fake cover and seals. Therefore, the products were marketed as if they were original.

The case was recorded in the 37th Police District (Limpo Camp) as falsification, corruption, tampering or alteration of drinks.

Metanol poisoning
