Leandro Castro took a trip to the Amazon, together with the stylist and trend researcher Walter Rodrigues, curator of the Bioma project, in Sebrae, to present his second collection at the SPFWcalled “Gaiafilia”, a neologism which means love of the earth. Inspired by the conference “Os Mil Nomes da Gaia” and the richness of the Amazon region.
As explicit as it may be, Leandro worked with agender looks, in large formats, with destroyed aspects, some reminiscent of tapestries and others decorated with pumpkins arranged in a convex or concave way, as well as wooden spheres from forest management.
In some pieces, like those at the beginning of the show, latex was also used. In colours, black, green and navy blue, with hints of pink, connect this ecological inspiration with highly urban and modern pieces.
SPFW
The N60 edition of SPFW celebrates 30 years of fashion week. With 38 parades, the event will have three extra days. The shows take place from 13 to 20 October. From the 16th, the date officially announced previously, the parades begin to occupy the Pavilhão das Culturas Brasileiras (Pacubra), in Ibirapuera.
