The seventh day of SPFW it began at the Cultural Center of São Paulo, with the models of the Cape Verdean designer Angela Britowho has the gift of deconstructing and reconstructing tailoring with lightness. The actress Letizia Colin was present on the catwalk.
The name of the collection is “Pangea”, which would have existed 200 and 540 million years ago, when all the continents as we know them were united. The designer’s metaphor was precisely that of separating sartorial codes to reunite them in other structures.

Angela Brito achieve this mix by sewing marks into dresses, shorts, trousers and blouses, lowering the waist by moving the belts, as well as applying folds in unexpected places and creating non-obvious overlaps, without exaggerating.
In explaining the collection, he uses the idea of tectonic plates moving without us seeing them and, who knows, one day they will unite the planet again.

In the looks, sheets of fabric overlapped with others, as well as lace interspersed with other fabrics, pleated aprons and front pouches created delicate volumes. All black and white, mixed, with strokes of red and beige.
Accompanying the show, completed by a tight white blazer, decorated with black and white two-tone glass fringes, and completed with trousers and overskirt, was a live soundtrack, sung by Dino de Santiago, a Cape Verdean singer and activist.
