The former trader Rodrigo Pantera wins the professional card and wants to challenge Ramon Dino
The highlight of Mr. Olympia Brasil Expo 2025 on its first day of amateur competitions was Rodrigo Pantera: the Bahian won the classic open C physique and the general classification, secured the IFBB pro card and planned to face, on equal terms, the main names of the scene.
Organized by Savaget Group, in collaboration with Musclecontest, the competition distributes 24 Pro Cards valid for the IFBB Pro League professional circuit in eight categories. Professional winners will receive R$10,000, second place winners will receive R$5,000 and third place winners will receive R$3,000.
A former street vendor, Pantera has more than 6 million followers on the Internet and promotes his lifestyle, mainly by buying cheaper food and not rushing supplements.
The young man won and has now turned professional, and will soon be able to compete against his idol Ramon Dino, who has just become world champion.
“We will work even harder and get the Olympia spot, God willing,” said Pantera, who brought his wife and daughter on stage.
Before the athletes entered the stage, the 2025 world champions Ramon Dino and Eduarda Bezerra were celebrated by the public. The local auditorium was packed for the finals. More than 10 thousand people were present.
The first duels were in 212, the men’s bodybuilding division with a limit of 212 pounds (96 kg). Athletes displayed more muscular physiques with greater density and definition, keeping the weight ceiling as the central rule.
The winner was Felipe Moraes, who rivaled Fabricio Moreira since the previews, but in the end he won the final prize. Andrey Pereira took bronze.
“I had a serious injury, which could have marked the end of my career. I took a year off to deal with it and I had another injury. But thanks to the Goddess I had important people in my life who helped me come back. The victory is not only mine,” said Felipe Moraes.
The Bikini category favors an athletic and harmonious physique, with evident proportions and muscle tone and without excessive definition. The overall winner was the Dominican Sharon Ramos, among the 150 foreigners competing. The Brazilians Bruna Toigo and Maria Alexsandra Rocha complete the podium.
”I was an amateur, like everyone else, and I came to Brazil, which is a powerhouse for evolving this sport. My advice to other athletes is: believe in yourself and never give up on your dreams, said the Dominican.
Among the amateurs, who were the majority (18) this Saturday, the dream was to win the pro card. In the fitmodel category, which debuts among women in the Mr. Olympia Brasil Expo calendar, the goal was to evolve and learn more about the referees’ criteria.
The overall champion was Carolina Dvorak. ”I was in a bikini and I switched to fitmodel and then, on the first try, I got this professional card. I am very happy to win. Feeling of gratitude”.
Also aimed at women, the figure category saw strong competition. The overall champion was Helen Leal.
”I started playing the sport three years ago and have worked really hard since then. The victory was planned from the beginning. I thank my coach, my wife and my students”.
In addition to bodybuilding competitions, the Anhembi district has hosted strongman, arm wrestling and powerlifting competitions, disciplines that enhance brute strength.
Mr Olympia Brasil Expo also includes a technical conference with big names in bodybuilding such as Fabrício Pacholok, Eduardo Correa, Fernando Maradona, Ângela Borges, Belmiro de Salles and Rodrigo Bravim.
