The brands are judged by a specialized team, which assigns scores of up to 100 to the oils. The state even holds seven of the nine Brazilian representatives cited in the guide. The other two positions are occupied by producers from Minas Gerais.
Flos Olei presents itself as the first and only guide dedicated to extra virgin olive oil at an international level. Every year the 500 best agricultural companies are selected, coming from more than 50 countries and on five continents. The guide is sold in three bilingual editions (Italian-English, Italian-Chinese, Italian-Spanish), which is expected to hit the market in December.

The prices of Brazilian olive oils, among the best in the world, vary greatly, especially considering that there are bottles of different sizes, as well as various types of blends. The Sabiá olive oil, from Fazenda do Aceite Sabiá, which has the best rating on the list, for example, costs R$ 125.00 for a bottle with 250 ml of the Koroneiki and De Terroir blends.
