Ingredients for the Caesar salad recipe

  • 300 g of diced chicken breast
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 bunch of iceberg lettuce, washed into strips
  • 100 g of coarsely grated Parmesan cheese

Sauce

  • 1 minced clove of garlic
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon of mustard
  • 1/2 cup (tea) of cream
  • 60 g of anchovies
  • 4 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt to taste

  • 4 slices of crusty bread, cut into cubes
  • 4 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of oregano
  • Olive oil for greasing

Method of preparation

For the croutons, mix the bread, olive oil and oregano in a bowl. Roll out into a greased form and place in a preheated medium oven (180ยบ C) for 5 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove and reserve. For the sauce, in a blender, whisk the garlic, lemon juice, mustard, sour cream, anchovies, olive oil and salt until creamy. Reserve. Season the chicken breast with salt and fry in a pan with the oil until golden brown. Reserve. Arrange the lettuce in a large salad bowl, place the chicken cubes, croutons, Parmesan cheese on top and sprinkle with the sauce. Serve immediately.
