The government this Wednesday, 21, sanctioned the law that obliges health plans to cover treatments and procedures outside the National health agency (ANS).
Last month, the bill passed votes in the House and Congress and was awaiting the presidential sanction.
The new law overturns the interpretation of the Superior Court of Justice (STJ), which ruled in June that the list of ANS procedures was “mandatory” – meaning that the plans should only cover what is in progress. list, which currently consists of 3,368 entries.
