The project signed by Memola Estudio and Vitor Penha maintains the original rustic characteristics of the building

Designed in an old three-storey residential building in Santos (SP), Revo Manufactory is a gastronomic center with a café, a convenience store, a bakery and a pizzeria. With the signature of Studio Memola Estudio and arch Vitor Penhathe project has acquired a rustic and delicate style in an elegant space, as well as maintaining the original features and the memory of the city in a large, airy, bright and green space.

The clients had already carried out several researches for the project and had had a line of architecture brought in from trips abroad. The harmony of the ideas with the Memola Estúdio studio was immediate and resulted in a light work, in collaboration, closely followed by the owners.

The ground floor, where the building’s parking area once stood, has been completely refurbished, transforming it into a large gastronomic space. The bakery opposite invites you to enjoy a special coffee, with freshly roasted and ground beans. The glass enclosed space receives a lot of natural light, which offers a pleasant aesthetic and provides a feeling of comfort.

A planter was placed along the entire length, providing a feeling of well-being. The tiles, the dishes and the metals were extracted from the customers.

On the back there is a large shed, where the restaurant and pizzeria area is located. Its industrial style contrasts with all the delicacy of the restoration of the bakery space. Developed with steel sheets, glass and extraction parts, it refers to large old warehouses, factories and food industries.

On the other two floors, restorations and structural reinforcements were carried out. The first floor involved more interventions, as all the heavy parts of the kitchen were located on this floor, such as production equipment and ovens.

A generous window has opened that overlooks the large industrial hall of the restaurant, which allows you to closely follow the movement. Some walls were also demolished to expand the space.

On the third floor there are the coffee research rooms, where the beans are extracted, roasted and ground, in a completely artisanal production. Some walls have also been removed, but the main goal of this floor was to keep the essence of the old apartments, which were in excellent condition. The internal staircase of the building and the granite parapet have also been maintained, guaranteeing the history of the property.
