Ingredients for Bread Pudding with Caramel Sauce:

  • 2 cups (tea) of sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 cups of milk (tea)
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • Cinnamon powder to taste
  • 4 carnations
  • 3 stale French bread
  • 1/2 cup seedless black raisins

Method of preparation

Take a shape with a hole in the center of 20 cm in diameter directly on the fire with 1 cup (tea) of sugar. With a wooden spoon, stir until the sugar dissolves and forms a caramel. Hold the mold with a thermal glove so as not to burn your hands and with the help of a wooden spoon spread a little caramel on the edges. Reserve. In a blender, beat the eggs, milk, butter, remaining sugar, cinnamon and cloves for 2 minutes. Add the bread and beat a little more.

Pour into the caramelized form and distribute the raisins that sink into the dough with the help of a spoon. Bake in a preheated oven in a bain marie for 40 minutes. Leave to cool and refrigerate for 2 hours. Unmold and dissolve the syrup taking the shape with a little water directly on the heat and stirring with a wooden spoon, wet the pudding and serve.
