If you are a fan of gastronomy, you must have heard of the Netflix documentary series, “Sal, Fat, Acidity and Heat”, based on the book of the same name written by chef Samin Nosrat. During the episodes, the cook travels the world, learning tips and tasting delicious dishes. One of them, you can learn from us: the tasty crispy rice.
This recipe was prepared by the chef at last episode of the season while at home in California. It was there that Samin, together with her mother, prepared a crispy rice that reminded me own childhood.
The name of the series (and the book) might seem long and wordy, but it’s anything but coincidental. In truth, the chef describes salt, fat, acidity and heat as the four essential elements for good cooking. To understand what you mean by this, look (or read)! How about doing it while you prepare one of Samin’s dishes?
The Cooking Guide teaches you how to prepare a tasty crispy rice which, surprisingly, is ready in 10 minutes. This tasty recipe is easy to make and yields four servings. If you want to add even more flavor to the meal, how about following the advice the cook tells you throughout the series? Sounds good for Sunday lunch, right? Let’s go to the ingredients and step by step?
