Have you ever heard of ho’oponopono? A thousand-year Hawaiian practice, it is a prayer of healing and forgiveness, which purifies the body, soul and frees the past of the individual who practices it, putting an end to pain, wounds and negative energies. The original ho’oponopono prayer consists of four main phases, which can be repeated like a mantra throughout the day.

How to practice ho’oponopono

Whenever you feel anxious, mean, or negatively charged, recite the mantra: “I’m sorry, forgive me, I love you, I am grateful.” This practice can be done during the days and more than once if necessary. A Hawaiian practice, the original ho’oponopono prayer promises to heal, release and chase away the past negative energies of the person practicing it.

“Divine Creator, Father, Mother, Son, all in One. If I, my family, my relatives and ancestors have offended your family, relatives and ancestors, with thoughts, deeds or actions, from the beginning of our creation until As of today, we ask for your forgiveness. Even though it’s hard for me to forgive someone, I’m the one asking someone for forgiveness now. For that moment, all the time, for everything I don’t like about my present life: I’m sorry, forgive me, I love you, I’m grateful to you. For this sacred space that I live in day by day and with which I do not feel at ease: I’m sorry, forgive me, I love you, I am grateful, I love you, I am grateful.

For all that I do not like in my present life, in my past life, in my work and in my surroundings, Divinity, purify in me what is contributing to my scarcity: I’m sorry, forgive me, I forgive you I love you, you I’m grateful.

If my physical body feels anxiety, worry, guilt, fear, sadness, pain, I say and think, “My memories, I love you. I am grateful for the opportunity to free you and me.” I’m sorry, forgive me, I love you, I am grateful to you. At this moment, I say that I love you. I think about my emotional health and that of all my loved ones. I love you. For my needs and to learn to wait without anxiety, without fear, I recognize my memories here in this moment: I’m sorry, forgive me, I love you, I am grateful. Beloved Mother Earth, who I am what I am: if I, my family, my relatives and ancestors mistreat you with thoughts, words, deeds and actions, from the beginning of our creation to today, I ask for your forgiveness. Let it cleanse and purify, release and cut off all negative memories, blocks, energies and vibrations. Transmute these unwanted energies into pure light and that’s it.
