Discover soul space and kinfolk, trends that will bring personality and individuality into the home
With the end of the year approaching, it’s already normal to think about renovating or building the house. Choosing the colors for the rooms, the furniture, buying decorative objects and everything that must convey the identity and lifestyle of those who live there.

Due to the pandemic, many people have started staying at home longer and have realized that they don’t identify so much with where they live. The consequence? A survey carried out in collaboration with the Casa do Construtor and AGP Investigations points out that 68% of Brazilians carried out some type of renovation between October 2020 and October 2021.
To help those who are already preparing work for the end of the year or thinking about projects for 2023, the architect and interior designer Raffaella Judgespecialist in rapid works and head of the “Arquitetura Dela” studio, shares styles and colors that are increasingly present in projects and which he believes will remain strong in the coming year.

“I believe the soul space and the family members they are getting stronger in our reality. A house with personality, with the soul of its inhabitants, bringing nature into the house and making the idea of ”inside and outside” less present in our routine. balcony that converts into a home officea home office full of plants, a more organic line, less edges, less right and square angles, always bringing more nature in projects,” he explains.
OR “Soul Space” it enchants with its intelligent and innovative design, which makes it ideal for having only what is useful, a space with soul and personality. already the “family members” it goes far beyond aesthetics, it is based on the search for a slower life, with more balance, sobriety and closer to nature.

Present at Milan Design Fair 2022underlines the architect that it was possible to perceive a strong presence of earthy and green tones🇧🇷 “These colors were present everywhere, but it is no coincidence, there is a very logical reason why these colors are so strong in the design market: we have discovered that we miss having nature around, and that does not mean going to living the forest, but we miss seeing the blue sky, walking in the park, on the street, going to the beach, feeling the fresh air”, comments Rafaela.

For those who intend to renovate or are thinking of building something new, the specialist also adds that the choice of colors when drawing up the project is essential for creating a comfortable, harmonious and welcoming atmosphere for those who will enjoy that space.
“Having this conversation about colors is key to capturing the client’s personality and designing something that fits the routine and essence of the residents, long before it’s something just aesthetic,” she points out.

Rafaela Giudice adds that for those dreaming of a cozy home, pay special attention to the lighting, as it can also turn into color if applied correctly.

“Lighting is color, it only exists when there is color (don’t construe color as something mega colorful), it doesn’t. The nuances of space and textures, along with the lighting you choose, completely change an environment. The play of light and shadow that textures and volumes bring when exposed to light is something that should be considered, as well as the natural lighting present in the room,” he points out.

For all the technical stuff, the architect says the biggest trend for 2023 is one that approaches those who dream of a place to call their own. “I know it has already become a cliché to talk about it, but the pandemic has taught us a lot about it, to look inside our home and identify ourselves there,” concludes Rafaela.
