To try to remedy the mistake he added candied fruit, butter, eggs and other ingredients. To his great surprise, the creation was a huge success at the chef’s dinner, who then decided to honor it and call it “Toni’s bread”.

ingredients

Method of preparation

In a bowl, mix the yeast with the wheat flour. Add some water and mix until it looks like a sponge. Leave to rest for 15 minutes and then add the rest of the ingredients, adding the candied fruit and raisins last. Knead until you get a very soft dough. Leave to rest, covered with a cloth, for 20 minutes. Then put the dough in a panettone mold and let it rise until doubled in volume. Put on a baking sheet and baking preheated to 180°C until golden brown. Leave to cool on a wire rack before serving.

Panettone with apricots and walnuts

ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup of tea milk
  • 1/2 cup tea margarine
  • 2 teacups of sugar
  • 600 g of soft wheat flour
  • 10 g of yeast in grains
  • 1 dessert spoon of panettone essence
  • 1 cup chopped apricot
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Method of preparation

In a bowl, mix the yeast with the wheat flour and set aside. Beat the eggs, orange juice, milk, margarine and sugar in a blender. pour a container and gradually add the reserved wheat flour. Add the panettone essence and mix. Put the apricot and walnuts and mix. Put the dough in a panettone mold and let it rise until doubled in volume. Place on a baking sheet and place in a preheated medium oven for 35 minutes. Leave to cool on a rack before serving.

  • 200 g of soft wheat flour
  • 20 g of yeast in grains
  • 200ml of water
  • 6 3/4 cups of tea Flour
  • 180 g of sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • 9 egg yolks
  • 200 g of butter
  • 20 g of powdered milk
  • 1 1/4 cup of water tea
  • 1 teaspoon of panettone essence
  • 2 cups of semisweet chocolate chips

Method of preparation

In a bowl, mix the yeast, 200 g of wheat flour and 200 ml of water until you get a sponge-like mixture. Leave to rest for 30 minutes. In another bowl, mix the remaining wheat flour with the sugar, egg yolks, panettone essence, water, powdered milk and salt. Add the mixture of Flour and reserved yeast and knead the dough for 10 minutes, gradually adding the butter. Add the chocolate chips and mix. Divide the dough into 5 portions and let it rest for 10 minutes. Put the dough into panettone molds and let it rise until doubled in volume. Place on a tray and cook in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30 minutes. Leave to cool on a wire rack before serving.
