Onion and Rosemary focaccia

Ingredients:

  • 15 g of fresh yeast
  • 1 cup of water (warm)
  • 3 cups wheat flour (tea)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • Oil for greasing

  • 1 1/2 cups finely sliced ​​onion
  • 3 tablespoons of oil
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh rosemary for sprinkling

Method of preparation:

  1. In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast in 1/2 the water, stir together 1 1/2 cups flour and salt.
  2. Then cover and let it rest for 20 minutes.
  3. Add the remaining water, oil and sugar and mix well.
  4. Add the remaining flour, a little at a time, kneading until you get a soft, sticky dough.
  5. Cover and let stand for 40 minutes or until doubled in volume.
  6. With lightly greased hands, transfer the batter to a 25cm x 35cm greased baking tin and smooth out to make it smooth.

  8. In a non-stick pan, heat the onion with the oil and sauté over low heat for 15 minutes or until it is soft and lightly browned.
