the law student Anaja Petersonwho was born in Jamaica and lives in Belfast, Northern Ireland, is in danger of losing her eyesight after getting a tattoo on her eyeball.

In July 2020, she got a tattoo of her right eyeball blue, and even though she was dealing with headaches and dry eye while recovering, she decided to paint her left eye purple in December of that year.

The 32-year-old said she can no longer distinguish faces and has difficulty reading.

The Jamaican is accustomed to body modifications, such as tongue split and tattoos, and shares her health status via TikTok.

In a publication, Anaya showed a medical report that said he “has developed a vision-threatening eye disease associated with fluid affecting the central part of the eye.”

The inflammations started in August last year, when the eyelids swelled. The elevation continued to get worse until she decided to go to the hospital emergency room, take antibiotics and apply medication directly to her eyes for three days.

“Untreated eye inflammation can lead to blindness due to high pressure in the eye,” the report added. All of this can cause a disease known as glaucoma.

According to the student, the fluids located in the back of her eyes already make it difficult for her to read or recognize faces accurately.

The woman also said an ophthalmologist suspected these changes in her body caused inflammation of the skin and triggered a generalized reaction, affecting her eyes.
