Lauana Prado says she discovered bisexuality ‘later’: ‘It’s scary at first’

Lauana Prado and her girlfriend, digital influencer Tati Dias, recently responded to homophobic comments they received on social media. Bisexual, the singer said she understood her sexuality when she was older and says she was ready to face prejudice when she broached the topic publicly.

“I discovered my sexuality a little later. When I discovered it, I had a lot of tenderness in understanding myself, in understanding how this thing would resonate with me. So, from the moment I published it, I became very aware of all the possibilities and consequences that this could generate,” Lauana says in an interview with Earth.

“Just as there are people who welcome, there are people who don’t welcome. I too knew that this reality existed, I think I dealt with it well”, adds the farmer.

Although he deals well with homophobic criticism, the artist admits that he was a little afraid of the public’s reaction when he started talking about sexuality. “Of course, at the beginning it’s scary, insecure, but therapy is very important, self-knowledge is very important. I did this work with great care, knowing myself was fundamental to making this breakthrough and being able to live well with my choices”, concludes the singer.
