This experiment involved 14 women over the age of 18, with a regular menstrual cycle of 25-33 days and both exercising regularly. Time was 15 minutes for members of this treadmill work and sessions were held within 48 hours.
The result was that women in the luteal phase experienced more anxiety, tension, depression, hostility, less arousal, affect, and motivation before exercise. Additionally, the USP researchers also noted that pleasure was negative on the high-intensity scale used for those who admitted pleasure in the sessions.
