Stuffed French Toast

Time: 20 minutes

Performance: 8 portions

Difficulty: easy

Ingredients:

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup of milk (tea)
  • 1/2 can of condensed milk
  • 1 large Italian bread, cut into 1 cm slices
  • 1 cup of hazelnut cream
  • Fry oil
  • Powdered sugar and cinnamon for dusting
  • Hazelnut cream and chopped walnuts to decorate

Method of preparation:

  1. In a bowl, beat the eggs, add the milk, the condensed milk and mix. Reserve.
  2. Take a slice of bread, put a portion of hazelnut cream and finish with another slice of bread.
  3. Repeat the procedure with the rest of the slices of bread and the hazelnut cream.
  4. Dip each piece of toast into the egg mixture.
  5. In a nonstick skillet with oil, over medium heat, fry the French toast, a little at a time, until golden brown on both sides.
  6. Drain on absorbent paper and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
  7. Decorate with hazelnut cream, walnuts and serve.
