The rugs have an earthy color palette, which are on the rise this year, in welcoming hues.

“The options play with the contrast between organic and geometric formatsthey are such protagonist pieces that they can transform environments, whether on the floor, in traditional use, or even in a wall composition,” comments Aline Rocha, Head of Private Label at Westwing Brasil.

The carpets have been developed in 100% nylon thread, with a non-slip base, long life and hypoallergenic treatment of the printing ink.

What was the Bauhaus

Staatliches Bauhaus is the first design school in the world. Created by architect Walter Gropius on April 12, 1919, in Germany, it aimed to bring together plastic arts, crafts and architecture.

Bauhaus ideals go hand in hand with Modernism. The industry and advances in manufacturing technology have been viewed positively and much appreciated, as they have allowed many people to have access to the pieces created there, as opposed to individually made objects.

For the Bauhaus, form and function should go hand in hand, i.e. creations should have the aesthetic appeal and concept of works of art, but should, at the same time, be functional and capable of being produced on a large scale.

Aesthetically the Bauhaus is influenced by constructivism, with rational and geometric shapes.
