And it works like this: put your feet in a basin with water and salts or other substances and stay there for a certain time. Simple, isn’t it? And because it’s so easy, it makes a foot bath a great option to do at home.

I’m glad they exist several different recipes which you can use depending on what you have in your house or your specific purpose. Below are two foot bath options you can try:

lavender foot bath

For this recipe, you will need warm water, two or three slices of orange and five drops of lavender essence. Also, you should use marbles as well.

Once you have collected all the items in a bowl, you must leave them there for between ten and fifteen minutes. During this time, use the marbles to massage the soles of your feet.

Homemade foot scrub

In addition to the benefits already mentioned, the foot scrub with exfoliation is still an ally when it comes to renewing the skin of the area. This is because the technique remove dead cells and gives hydration and softness to your feet.

For this recipe, you will need 4 tablespoons brown sugar and 8 tablespoons almond oil. When you have all the items, mix them and put this mixture on your feet.

Next, you will put your feet with the mixture in warm water, dry it and apply a moisturizing lotion. Wrap your feet in plastic bags and leave them there for fifteen minutes before peeling off the plastic and massaging your feet in firm, circular motions. Finally, just wipe off the moisturizer with a wet towel.
