Carnival: create your own Wandinha costume with what you have at home

It’s not Halloween. It’s Carnival. Besides sparkles, sequins and colors, Wandinha’s costume has to be one of the most seen on the streets, blocks and dances in Brazil. Despite the gothic air and the closed look of the character played by Jenna Ortega in the Netflix series of the same name, she is an outfit that is easy to adapt even with the clothes you already have at home.

If you don’t have all the parts, buy one or the other. Otherwise you can also buy the one-piece swimsuit which, with a quick search on the internet, can be found for amounts ranging from R$ 100 to R$ 400. visual, even if not identical.

For example, a black T-shirt that you can attach a white turndown collar to, or a Peter Pan design that’s rounder. A simple black dress or black slip with white polka dots. Oxford shoes or moccasins. A short white shirt worn under clothing. To top it off, if you have long hair, buy a wig with two side braids.

#cadica1: Carnival falls in the middle of summer. Since Wandinha’s looks are closed-in, she tries to lighten up with fresher styles, such as sheer fabric dresses, short-sleeved shirts, cropped shirts, and wide-collar adaptations on dresses, like pictured above.
