Livia Avelar, the widow of businessman Bruno Avelar, has shared memories of the Italian honeymoon they planned before he died in a helicopter crash.
The tragedy claimed five lives when the helicopter came down just over a week ago in the Serra Catarinense in southern Brazil. Singer Rick Sollo was also killed in the crash alongside Avelar and three other people who were on board the flight.
Livia took to social media on Friday night to mourn her husband and reflect on the dream holiday that was cut short by his death. The couple had been married for only about a month before the fatal incident took place.
Sharing a photograph of the pair sitting together on an earlier flight, as well as an image of their plane tickets for the romantic trip, Livia explained that they were due to be in the air on their way to Italy at that exact time.
She wrote on Instagram that the journey had been another shared dream they were preparing to realize together. She said that God had his own plans and paths, adding that she was certain her husband was now beside the Father in a wonderful place. Looking ahead, she stated that she still planned to visit Italy one day to fulfill their dream, keeping him in her heart so he could experience everything with her.
Deadly Crash in Serra Catarinense
The crash happened in the Serra Catarinense, a high mountain region in the state of Santa Catarina in southern Brazil. In addition to Avelar and Rick Sollo, three other passengers were aboard the helicopter. Authorities confirmed that none of the five people on board survived the impact.
The disaster has shaken the Brazilian entertainment community, where both men were well known. Musician Cesar Menotti broke down in tears when discussing the death of Avelar, while the widow of Rick Sollo has also posted online to reflect on the singer's passing.
Career in Music and Business Networking
Avelar had worked in the music industry for many years before establishing himself as a speaker and business mentor. He was the founder of Poder do Network, a venture dedicated to professional networking and corporate connections.
He had earned broad recognition for his expertise in building professional relationships and regularly posted videos and updates on social media detailing his schedule of lectures and seminars on the subject.
The crash also took the life of Rick Sollo, one of the most famous names in Brazilian sertanejo music. Sollo was widely celebrated as part of the country duo Rick and Renner, performing acoustic romantic ballads that achieved huge commercial success across Brazil.
