Madeline Holtznagel and Justin Hemmes could not wipe the smiles off their faces on Thursday as they attended the 2026 Ladies Luncheon Committee event for the Royal Hospital for Women Foundation.
The former makeup artist made sure her blinding diamond ring on her left hand was the star of the show as she draped her arm around her billionaire boyfriend at Mimi's in Coogee. It was not long before the huge sparkler set tongues wagging, with one onlooker describing it as 'dazzling'.
Madeline flaunted her thin frame in a $3,244 beige floral minidress by Magda Butrym at the glittering event. She added to her look with a $2,720 pair of Rene Caovilla sandals, a Saint Laurent clutch and a diamond cuff on her wrist.
Justin, meanwhile, looked chic in a tailored grey suit paired with a crisp white dress shirt and a navy patterned tie.
Engagement rumours swirl
Madeline, 29, all but confirmed their engagement in June after she was spotted wearing a giant diamond ring outside the waterfront mansion she shares with Hemmes, 53. Hemmes is the head of the Merivale hospitality empire, which operates pubs, bars and restaurants across Sydney.
Justin and Madeline have been together since 2019 but largely keep their private life out of the spotlight.
Their family life
Madeline announced the arrival of her first child with Hemmes on Instagram in June 2025 alongside a gallery of sweet photos, captioning the post: 'Jaeger Justin Hemmes. 1.06.25.'
She revealed the sex of their baby in an interview with Stellar magazine, saying she was thrilled to begin a 'new journey' with Justin. 'I always thought I was going to have a boy. I knew I was going to be a boy mum,' she said. 'Justin has two beautiful little girls, so having a boy, it's like a whole new journey together. [The baby] is going to be his little best mate.'
Madeline said she had previously kept details of her pregnancy private but felt ready to share her journey. 'I keep a lot of my life private and I don't share a lot online anyway, so being pregnant wasn't really something that I was going to share online,' she said. 'I haven't posted about it and it's been nice to have some quiet time off Instagram. But obviously because I am in the public eye and we do get photographed quite a lot, I think now I'm at this point in my pregnancy where it's nice for me to be able to share some nice photos.'
Family ties
Madeline is the younger sister of fellow Australian model Simone Holtznagel, who welcomed her first child, a daughter named Gia, in March 2024 with her then-boyfriend Jono Castano.
Justin shares two daughters, Alexa, nine, and Saachi, seven, with his ex-partner Kate Fowler.
